About Us

The Old Bristolians Hockey Club is one of three sports clubs (along with Rugby and Cricket) that make up the Old Bristolian Sports Club that is affiliated to Old Bristolians Society (BGS Alumni).

The Hockey Club has had a mens team for over 50 years and a womens side formed over 30 years ago. The Club now runs 5 womens and 6 mens sides, mens and womens masters teams and age based junior teams, from ages 7-16. League matches are mainly on a Saturday throughout the winter. The teams play in leagues around the Bristol and South West area (depending on which team you play for - please check our fixtures page for each team).

The aim of the club is to develop the skills of players of all abilities in a friendly and sociable way. The ethos is to play competitive hockey at a good standard but not to let it get in the way of having a good time! We benefit from great facilities including our own astroturf pitch, dedicated changing rooms and, most importantly, bar and food at our clubhouse on Longwood Lane, Failand, BS8 3TQ.
