About the Club

Old Bristolians Hockey Club was founded in 1921. The Sports Club it belongs to is affiliated to the Old Bristolians Society, the Bristol Grammar School alumni association.

The club has a long-established men's side, and a women's side formed over 30 years ago. Today we run six men's and six women's teams, men's and women's masters, a mixed team and junior teams for ages 5–16. League matches are mostly on Saturdays through the winter, in leagues around Bristol and the South West. Check fixtures to see where your team plays.

We want players of every ability to get better in a friendly, sociable way. The hockey is competitive and played to a good standard, but never at the expense of a good time. We have our own astroturf pitch and changing rooms and, most importantly, a bar and food at the clubhouse on Longwood Lane, Failand, BS8 3TQ.
